1508 – Andrea Palladio the Italian architect and designer of the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore and Teatro Olimpico was born on the 30th November 1508 (died 1580).

1722 – Theodore Gardelle the Swiss painter was born on the 30th November 1722 (died 1761).

1805Christian Ruben the German painter was born in Trier on the 30th November 1805 (died 9th July 1875 aged 69). Christian Ruben studied in Düsseldorf under Peter von Cornelius, then settled in Munich, where he worked on the designs for the new stained glass windows for the Regensburg Cathedral and a church in Auer. He also worked on designs for the decoration of Hohenschwangau Castle, including oil paintings as well. In 1841 Christian Ruben was appointed director at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, and from 1852 to 1872 he was director at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. His son Franz Ruben was also a painter. Christian Ruben’s pupils included Jaroslav Čermák and Karel Javůrek.
