1942 – Stephen Hawking the English physicist and author was born on the 8th January 1942.

1947 – David Bowie the English singer-songwriter, producer, and actor was born on the 8th January 1947.

1955 – Mike Reno the Canadian lead singer of Loverboy was born on the 8th January 1955.
