1920Werner Klemperer the German-born American actor was born on the 22nd March 1920 (died 2000). Werner Kleperer was best known as Colonel Klink in Hogan’s Heroes

1954 – The London bullion market reopened on the 22nd March 1954, after being closed since 1939.

1960 – Arthur Leonard Schawlow and Charles Hard Townes receivde the 1st patent for a laser on the 22nd March 1960.

1963 – The Beatles‘ 1st album, Please Please Me, was released in the United Kingdom on the 22nd March 1963.
