Something happened on Facebook today that made me decide it’s time to delete my Facebook account! Rather than write a long winded rant about it all, because most people these days have a short attention span, I’ve summarised my reasons into 7 points…

7 REASONS WHY I’M DELETiNG MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT:

1.

Majority of my Facebook friends seem to be too busy to read anything I write anymore, with many too busy to click the like button on my photos. I guess  95% of my Facebook friends probably stopped reading this before they got to the end of this first reason. Thank you for getting this far.

2.

 Too many haters of happiness.

3.

 Facebook makes it hard getting over a breakup, when you see daily reminders everywhere, which makes it harder to make a new start.

4.

Loss of privacy, especially after  I found out my 95 year old Nana was being shocked by what I was doing on Facebook when she was seeing her friend Beryl’s nephew’s Facebook (a mutual friend of mine).

5.

Friends and family tagging me in unflattering photos, resulting in people seeing un-photoshopped photos of me!

6.

I don’t even know who some of my Facebook friends are, they could be ex-girlfriends, bosses, stalkers, assassins or worse, the tax department, all with fake names for all I know?!

7.

The final and main reason I’m saying I’m deleting my Facebook today is because today is the 1^st of April, also known as April Fool’s Day.
