JULY 26 ~ ON THiS DAY in History

1875 – Carl Jung the Swiss psychiatrist was born on the 26th June 1875 (d. 1961).

1894 – ALDOUS HUXLEY the English author was born on the 26th July in 1894 (d. 1963). Aldous Huxley is best known for his novel Brave New Worldwritten in 1931 and published in 1932. Brave New World was set in London in the year 2540, and anticipated developments in reproductive technology and sleep-learning to change society. The Modern Library ranked Brave New World 5th on the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century list, and considered one of the top 100 greatest novels of all time.
