UNiCYCLE WORLD RECORD Attempt by SAMUEL JOHNSON to raise over $1 Million for Breast Cancer Research for the love of his dying sister Connie
Samuel Johnson’s sister Connie is dying of Breast Cancer, so he set out on an epic challenge RiDiNG AROUND AUSTRALiA ON A UNiCYCLE!.. It’s all about keeping the promise he made to Connie:
- Raise a million dollars for Breast Cancer research
- Raise awareness of the disease that’s killing her
- Break the Guinness World Record for the longest journey on a unicycle

Before he left on Friday 15th February, Samuel did some training, ditched the beers, and froze some of his sperm (under advice of doctors, in case the long journey on a unicycle had an effect on his closest mates). Connie is asking Australia to come up with some tough sponsored challenges for her brother Samuel. His epic challenge is all about being breast aware and educating Australia on the importance of early detection. Their message is simple: ‘Don’t fall into the booby-trap, be breast aware!’ ~ www.LoveYourSister.org
Samuel started his unicycle journey from Melbourne on Friday 15th February 2013, heading through Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland, as well as many towns and local communities along the way, where he will be performing a series of challenges set by the general public. In addition to breaking the world record for the most distance travelled on a unicycle, Samuel will be going up Mt Kosciusko, Ayres Rock and into Lake Eyre.
All funds raised will be donated to the Garvan Research Foundation, a world leader in breast cancer research, and the Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group, which provides financial assistance and emotional support to cancer patients and their families.

Samuel is almost halfway through his 15,000km unicycle journey, after travelling 7206km, and raising $292,929.

Samuel has raised just over half a million dollars now ($509,622.27) after making it halfway to the target to raise 1 million dollars for breast cancer research, after riding 8056 kilometres of the 15,000 kilometres so far.
